This is the copy for one in a series of case studies I wrote for a client who had a B2B SaaS product they were promoting. I worked with the client to determine the strategy behind the series. Who would be the best customers to talk to? What would resonate most with potential customers? Then I did the interviews for the case studies and then wrote the copy.

I've been on the winning Fargo Startup Weekend twice, in 2017 and 2018. Both times, I was responsible for the strategy and copy for our five-minute pitch. This is the copy for our 2017 presentation. We pitched a software product that would help law enforcement agencies speed up their response to major incidents like kidnappings.

Moorhead Planning Commission • March 2024

Planning Commission meeting

I have served as a representative on Moorhead's Planning Commission since 2017. I've been chair or vice chair of that commission for about half the time I've been on it, and I currently serve as chair. At the meeting featured in this video, we had several MSUM students observing. I explained the zoning requirements for churches and the process of obtaining a conditional use permit. I discussed how churches can be located in various zoning districts. I also mentioned the limited authority of city councils in approving or denying church permits due to First Amendment rights.

I volunteer with several nonprofit organizations. CHIRA Global Development Organization supports the Yazidi community, who are a Kurdish religious group. I designed the organization's logo, and I also create some of their social media graphics, like this one.
